My own Sweet heart -
It is after
ten o’clock Thursday
night and week from now, [??]
2 is a thing of the
past! Now, when I
awake in the morning
I can say “Tomorrow
I shall see my Jean.”
Do you know what
that means to me
my dear? It
[2]
seems weeks since I
left you. If only
you were with me,
I should be having
a thoroughly good
time, but I miss
you so and am so
anxious about you,
just I cannot be
entirely happy. Your
letter came this
afternoon and was
[3]
a comfort all ex-
cept the part that
said that you were
not well. I feel very
anxious, Darling, but
I try not to worry.
God bless my own
precious Love and
keep her well and
safe and happy,
Miss Keysin (?) was
[4]
at the reception this
afternoon. She inquir-
ed about you and
said that she met
you at the Hines’s
last summer.
Dearest- I expect to
see you at half-
past eight I already
might and I pray
that I may find
you well. I shall
[5]
hardly dare open your
letter tomorrow, for
fear that it will
say that you are
ill. May God Love
my Treasure,

Here I am at the Fifth Grand, Sweet-
heart and I am
glad for every
reason except one,
that as yet I have
not my letter!
I hope that you
are all right
