Sweetheart, you are coming
home tomorrow, are
you not? I can
hardly wait to see
you, but you say
nothing about coming
in Friday’s letter and
a dread fear takes
hold of me, that you
are not coming!
I write this note
[2]
hastily, that you may
hear, in the morning,
although I am not
sure that the mail
would reach you
before you started.
I am not back
from the wedding,
a very pretty one.
God bless my Jean
